OUR STORY

Co-founders Emma and Nick Perkins are both military veterans who met while serving in the Army. After marrying in 2017, they began trying to grow their family but faced multiple miscarriages, and eventually, a diagnosis of a rare genetic disorder that significantly reduced Emma's chances of pregnancy, Despite enduring more than 10 failed IVF cycles, their journey has revealed a broader issue within the military community; many couples struggling with infertility can not afford treatment, as costs are generally not covered by the Department of Defense's healthcare system. After witnessing this gap in government resources and coverage, Emma and Nick decided to turn their adversity into an opportunity to help others.

Operation Baby was founded in 2020 as a way to give back to those in the military community who share Emma and Nick’s struggle with infertility. The foundation was born from the idea that no service member should have to abandon their dream of having children due to financial constraints. Whether beneficiaries need financial assistance for expensive medical fertility treatments, help navigating the complex adoption process, or support for other family building options, Operation Baby is there to for these families—we believe the strength of our Armed Forces depends on it.
